Health Awareness for girls menstruation hygiene by Dr. Helly Debbarma
Menstruation is a natural biological process and an essential part of every girl's reproductive health. However, many girls continue to face myths, stigma, and limited access to accurate information about menstrual hygiene. A health awareness programme on menstrual hygiene, led by Dr. Helly Debbarma, was conducted on 17 July 2026 to educate participants about the menstrual cycle, proper menstrual hygiene practices, the importance of balanced nutrition during menstruation, and the need to seek medical advice when necessary. The programme also promoted open discussion to dispel misconceptions, reduce stigma, and empower girls to manage their menstrual health with confidence, dignity, and safe hygienic practices. Research has shown that comprehensive menstrual health education contributes to better hygiene, improved health outcomes, and increased awareness among adolescent girls.
